Exploring New Delhi: My First Solo Trip

Spread the love
Hello Readers,

Finally as promised, I am back to give you an insight into my trip to New Delhi. I don’t know calling it a solo trip would be justified or not. As I had my friends meeting up, living at my relatives place and enjoying with a cousin. Why I call it a solo trip is because I was the very first time traveling without my parents.
The city proved to be a successful one. There were various reasons to make a visit. Since I wanted to change the air around me, have some fun, and release all stress. Therefore, without much wasting of your time, Have a look at my trip pictures!

I entered the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
My first trip begins!

Entering into “Dilwalo ki Dilli” had added up to my travel experience. Getting into the flight booking a cab and what not!

Day1: Bangla Sahib Gurudwara: Front View
The Gurudwara had a serene environment.

The Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, New Delhi. I have always cherished my visits to the gurudwaras. This was my first at Delhi. The pond, the prasad, and the environment were all so calm and beautiful.

Well, no trip could have been completed without a selfie! This trip was meant to be an escape from the routine environment and since I had my friends staying there, so I met Utkarsh a school friend of mine and he was the one who made me roam about Delhi, explore few places and yes, helped me in my Sarojini Nagar bargain too!

 Rajpath

Another day, another bliss.visit Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Had always seen pictures of Rashtrapati Bhawan and India gate, Rajpath on television and Social books. This visit was indeed a bliss. It isn’t that is was my first trip to Delhi, but yes as a grown up.

Day2: Met my friends, who are persuing their studies in Delhi
and nearby places. Was a terrific end of the day at Connaught Place.

The place ‘Connaught Place’ was a blessing. A perfect reunion we friends had, we shopped, sat and did a lot of chit chat. Hogged on the relishing food and yes how can I forget? The famous Odean Ice Pan!

Day3: Dilli Haat

Dilli Haat! Though it was the 15th of August when I visited the place, so it was closed. All that I could visit was the outer shops. Vendors selling handmade crafts.

Day4: No trip to Delhi could be complete without visiting
 Sarojini Nagar.

It was a fun-filled day. I headed to Sarojini Nagar. I had previously heard a lot about the place, where one finds amazing clothes and accessories at very affordable prices. Being a very bad bargainer, if alone I would have shed thousands on a few buys. Thankfully a friend of mine accompanied me and was able to bargain a lot- and got things like really cheap!

Day4: After a fun-filled day went for some break with my cousin-
cherishing moments!

No trip could have been complete without enjoying the lounges and restaurants of Delhi. The only thing I missed there was having food at a dhaba. Well, I hope this will be fulfilled soon and I will travel soon.

With fond memories, I hereby bid a farewell to Delhi!

This was all! Well, there were more memories that I made in a 2-week long trip but couldn’t get clicked for some or the other reasons!

Hope you liked my blog, for more keep watching this space!
