The nearest airport is located at Pantnagar which is well-connected to Delhi. If someone wishes to come to Bhimtal by air, then they can take a flight to Delhi and then from Delhi to Pantnagar. From Pantnagar, one has to take a cab or a state road bus to reach Bhimtal.

Best Time to Visit Bhimtal
Whether you want to visit Bhimtal in Summer or want to explore the beauty of Bhimtal in winter, it will leave you awestruck in both seasons. The best time to visit Bhimtal is between March to June during summers when the weather is a pleasant and cool breeze with the warm sun is providing your body undefined sensations and your mind a pleasure. It is advisable not to visit Bhimtal in the monsoon as the area gets slippery and a bit risky during this season.
From October to December is another time when the winter is knocking on the door. This season gives a serene pleasure of winter in Bhimtal when you can easily explore the flora and fauna of the town.
